History of Origami:
Contrary to popular belief, Origami is originated in China in the first or second century AD. Japanese adopted Origami around the sixth century, and it has become essential aspects of Japanese culture since then. Origami was an important aspect of many Japanese ceremonies. For instance, samurai warriors exchanged Origami as a good luck charm. In present time, Shinto wedding still uses Origami butterflies to represent bride and groom in wedding ceremony. Today, Origami gains its popularity around the world. Origami refers to all kinds of paper folding, even if they are not Asian origin.
Easy Butterfly Origami For Kids to Make
Material: You will need 13 X 13 c.m. square piece of paper.
1) Fold the paper along the diagonal to give a triangle

2) Press on the triangle to give a crease

3) Make the second crease approximately 0.5 c.m. above the first one.

4) Unfold the paper as shown in the picture below .

5) Press on the first crease.

6) Stretch the paper to make square piece of paper

7) Turn the rectangle to another corner, and fold the rectangle into triangle.

8) Use the scissor to make the head of the butterfly

9) On the other sides, Use the scissor to make the tail

10) Use the scissor to decorate the wing

10) Decorte Your butterfly as you wish.
