Healthy Pregnancy And Miscarriage
|
One in five pregnancies in the United States ends in a miscarriage. That is why when a woman gets pregnant after a miscarriage, she is filled with excitement as well as fear wondering whether she would be given a new chance she had hoped for after losing the earlier baby. Usually, if you are going through the same feeling of fear and guilt, there is nothing much that can be done to allay your fears but you can do a few things yourself to feel better in the days to come.

The first thing to remember is that it is okay to be anxious that you might end up losing this baby too. Rather than dwelling over the lost baby, you should look forward to the future baby. Yes, you will not be happy all the time and that is why it is important to allow yourself to feel sad over the miscarriage and have a good cry occasionally. Then move on to planning the birth of your new child.
There is no doubt that you will feel nervous until your pregnancy crosses the point of the previous miscarriage. However, once you pass the point, you will start feeling a lot more positive and relieved. Every time you reach a new milestone in your pregnancy like hearing the heartbeat or feeling the fetal movement, you will feel better about your pregnancy and you will feel relieved that things are progressing normally.
You should try relaxation techniques like yoga and meditation to relax yourself so that you do not dwell too much about your miscarriage. You should even try talking to your fetus and many doctors recommend this as a way of bonding with the unborn child.
If your miscarriage is still worrying and troubling you, try talking to your partner. Your partner too has gone through the loss and will be anxious about the pregnancy in a similar manner. You can support each other emotionally.
Remember, many women who have had miscarriages end up having healthy pregnancies later on. You too will go through the same process so do not worry too much.
