Many women complain of fatigue and tiredness right throughout their pregnancy. However, if you exercise regularly you will strengthen your cardiovascular system and you will not tire very easily. Obstetricians agree that as long as the pregnant woman does not have medical condition, she can easily take part in 30 minutes or more of moderate exercise on a daily basis. Your doctor or midwife will plan out an exercise program for you and should stick to that. If you feel any difficulty, bring it to their notice so that they can alter the exercise regimen accordingly.
Sleeping during pregnancy can be a real challenge considering that you would be carrying something like an extra 15 pounds in front of you. However, if you exercise, you will be able to sleep well during the night as you will work off all the excess energy and tire yourself enough to get a good night’s rest.
Exercise will, further, help you get into a better shape physically and you will be able to cope with the rigors and demand of labor and delivery. It will help you build up your stamina, focus and determination. Above all, while you are pregnant you will have all kinds of aches and pains which will be alleviated by doing different kinds of stretching exercises and you will be in a better mood and spirits instead of being irritable and moody.
