Braxton Hicks Labor Advice

Braxton Hicks is a type of contractions felt by pregnant women. These contracts are usually painless and last only for a minute or two. Braxton Hicks contractions occur right through pregnancy and tend to most start around the 28th week of pregnancy. However, there are instances where women experience these contractions even earlier than that. Initially the contractions are irregular and can make you feel uncomfortable but as your pregnancy progresses, they get stronger.

Can Progesterone Stop Preterm Labor ?

A pregnancy usually lasts for around 37 weeks to 42 weeks. Any pregnancy beyond 37 weeks is known as term pregnancy. Whereas preterm labor is one where the mother goes into labor before the 37th week. In the United States, nearly 12 percent mothers go into preterm labor and out of this 80 percent pregnancies go into preterm labor on their own while 20 percent are planned deliveries because of problems either to the mother or the baby.
